NW-01080 | God isn’t fixing this

Amos 8:11-14

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the Lord.  They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it.  “In that day the fair virgins And strong young men Shall faint from thirst.  Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, Who say, ‘As your god lives, O Dan!’ And, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives!’ They shall fall and never rise again.”  NKJV

It was after the Californian Muslim murders of December 2015 when once again the leftist loonies attacked its nation’s own 2nd Amendment regarding the rights of citizens to bear arms. “Get rid of the guns and we get rid of the problem.” No. The problem with the USA is not its guns, but rather, its sick people, and these sick people who are being led by lunatics.

The church called for prayer.

Out of this call for prayer, it was the New York Daily news whose front-page headline screamed against those same pious platitudes of prayer-calling public politicians saying, “God isn’t fixing this!” No doubt the masses and candlelit vigils will follow, together with the piles flowers and stuffed Teddy Bears. We might not agree with the motivation of the New York Daily’s headline, but there statement is true. “God is not fixing this!” The big joke is that they think they can!

Never the less, the loony left were right on three fronts however, and as I briefly examine these three fronts I believe it will expose the current weakness of the Christian church and the reasons why the lost people of our lands do not listen to us.

Weak front No 1 | Prayers are irrelevant.

This of course is a lie. However, the wrong kind of prayers are irrelevant and the wrong kind of prayers offered at the wrong time are also offensive, manipulative, weak, evasive, and selfish. Praying for the victims and their families that the comfort of God may be upon them is just plain wrong. (I can feel the offense of many of you rise up even as I type!) Consider this; If the ‘victim’ and their families, were Christ rejecting sinners, then whatever method of their departure from this world, according to the Scriptures, they were never with God then and are not with God now, but rather, they are in hell. If the remaining families are alive and not part of God’s family, what comfort can be offered? What expectation of consolation can rightly and honestly be presented? None whatsoever. Now then, less you think I am being harsh, remember when Jesus Himself commented upon the terror attack made by Pilate on the Galileans, mixing their blood with the sacrifices on the alter, or the single tower incident in Siloam, which collapsing, then killed eighteen people, He offered no comfort here! Rather, He gave a double call for repentance with threatening, saying.  “….. Unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5 NKJV

We are offering false comfort to lost people and presenting a pitiful God to those in pain. Let us prayer for the nation’s repentance, and the protection of God, which comes from Him being our Lord and Master. Let us pray for repentance and also the capture and righteous dispatch of all perpetrators of murder. God is a God of righteousness and Holy Judgement. “….. Unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5 NKJV

Weak front No 2 | God is a pussy.

Private Godfrey

You cannot get away from the fact in times of disaster God is a presented by ‘public’ Christians to the hurting public to be nothing but a jointly grieving, sad, hurt and disappointed genteel old gentleman wishing, hoping, and praying that we would all just play nice with one another because if we did, then oh how pleased He would be and Oh how happy we would be as well. This God is nothing short of the personification of Private Godfrey out of Dad’s Army. He is delightful but totally old, doddery and inconsequential. However, the God of the Bible is no pussy, and indeed, not only may many of these problems be the permitted consequences of our own wicked rebellion and sin, but also I know,  that many of these catastrophes are in fact the direct consequence of His intervening and judgmental hand.  Our message at times of crisis should be this,  “….. unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5 NKJV

Weak front No 3 | the current Christian God of congenial Christianity is not the God of the Bible.

Woe to the leaders of the Christian church who have built such a monstrous idol of deception. The millennial first wave cancer of political correctness, together with the Motor Neuron Disease of compromised spirituality have left the church crippled and and nonsensified. Meanwhile, the global predator centers of the prince of darkness are assuming their battle positions.  The God the Bible has much to say about this. Yes, He has much to say to His people regarding the preparation for proclamation, and for the world, He has also something very significant to say as well. Can you guess what it is? That’s right, “… unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5 NKJV

Those who can, need to establish new centers of liberty and freedom in new Antioch’s across the globe. The church must proceed from the new strength of Holy Spirit organized informal Networks.

Tell me Christian, do you know the God of the Bible and are you prepared for what is to come? I tell you now, it is time to get strategic with your planning. It is time to relocate.

Listen:  I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said: “Strike the doorposts, that the thresholds may shake, And break them on the heads of them all. I will slay the last of them with the sword. He who flees from them shall not get away, And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.  “Though they dig into hell,  From there My hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down;  And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel, From there I will search and take them; Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea, From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;  Though they go into captivity before their enemies, From there I will command the sword, And it shall slay them. I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.” (Amos 9:1-4 NKJV)

Pray: Father, make us prophets, make us fearless, in Jesus name I pray, amen and let it be so.
